  I was sooo impressed with how beautiful this restaurant is!! And the atmosphere here was unmatched! I think it is perfect for couples, friends, families to have a good meal at. The food was delicious. We could order unlimited fries but we didn’t even do that because we were full! The staffs were also very tentative. With such a big restaurant, I was impressed with how smoothly the service went. Definitely recommend and would come back here! ☺️

  Humphreys offers a nice fancy three course dinner at an affordable price of 40 euros. You can reserve Humphreys along with a boat tour of Utrecht’s canals via Rederji Schuttevaer’s website. I had the beef carpaccio, veal skewers, and creme brûlée. The beef carpaccio was amazing, with each part of the dish complementing the other well. The arugula, truffle mayonaise, and grana padano worked wonderfully with the beef. The veal skewers were very tender and the red wine sauce was great, but I wasn’t a huge fan of the vegetable chips. They tasted a bit stale and bitter. The crème brûlée was elevated by the lemon curd’s acidity, but the crust wasn’t properly formed and the custard was a bit too liquidy because of the lemon curd. I had a great time at Humphreys and would love to have the beef carpaccio and veal skewers again!

  Been here with a group of 15 and wow. Such a great atmosphere, amazing food and service was also amazing. Very helpful! 10/10

  We loved it! Great atmosphere welcoming staff and very different surroundings as all below ground directly off canal level. Good party atmosphere & for b seating areas. Food was hot and delicious- we were a party of 14 & had a choice of 3 starters dinners & deserts which had something for everyone- our food was delicious- staff very friendly & quick to get any extras. For such a large restaurant we were very impressed at how fast & how extremely well sorted it was. This is all underground so not for the claustrophobic!

  Very disappointed at the service of the staff. We asked to save our pie in their fridge for a special occasion and they agreed. When they gave it back, somebody took a bite out of the pie (?!). The only thing they mentioned whilst returning the pie was ‘we put another foil on it’ without any context. Maybe it was funny amongst their colleagues, but this is probably the weirdest and most disgusting service I’ve ever had. Note to comment: the fact that a business has the audacity to talk to a dissatisfied customer like this says it all.. at least you could mention this when giving the pie back, but probably that is too much asked.
