This restaurant is Italian-inspired and, being Italian, I can confirm that the quality of the food is super high. The restaurant has a good ambiance and it suits both a date or a friend's dinner. The personnel was kind and attentive. I must admit that with such founders, excellence is guaranteed

No steak knife with your “cold” steak! Unfamiliar to us and completely normal to staff! Portions aren’t super big (quite expected). Atmosphere is amazing. Location is awesome

My husband and I are from the US but have lived in Holland for just over a year. We have tried burgers several times at different places and nearly everytime let down. We walked in to Claar for a date night and ordered the burger expecting the same quality we usually get at a Dutch restaurant...we were very pleasantly surprised! This burger was amazing, best we've had in the Netherlands. Claar also had many other dishes that sounded delicious sober plan to go back. Also fun that they listed a drink pairing with the menu items. We highly recommend this restaurant and experience!
