  Loved it! Atmosphere is really cool. The food was delicious, perfectly prepared and a very good value. We had to ask if the pricing was correct, as we couldn't believe it didn't cost more for a huge plate of fish. Our servers were excellent. I highly recommend this place for a lively dinner.

  Definitely a great experience for seafood lovers and those hoping to try it for the first time. We got the combination platter for two and very much enjoyed it. The staff is great, this is a wonderful location. I would recommend making a reservation as the place gets very busy. I also want to note it is a great place for people who have a gluten allergy or dairy allergy. The fish is fresh and it can be prepared super safely.

  Upscale seafood experience in a friendly, casual environment. Beautiful dining room with large windows. Very popular place so try a non-prime meal time to avoid waiting. Raw oysters were fresh, briny, and served with a nice mignonette sauce. Lobster soup tasted like lobster rather than heavy cream like typical bisques. Fresh fish of the day are on display in a case , and are cooked whole when ordered. The sea bass was delicious with olive oil, tomatoes, and onions. Clearly this restaurant deserves its many high praise reviews.

  This was our second dinner during our three day visit of Amsterdam. The Seafood Bar has really great and fresh selections of seafood that the entire family loved, and was reasonably affordable for a protein heavy meal. The service at this location was actually more friendly and cordial than at the main SPUI location, which was way too busy. On both visits we ordered the Mixed Grill (due to concern of allergy to crustacean) and the calamari appetizer. Both were amazingly tasty; we especially loved the samphire seaweed adorning the plate, which added a umami saltiness that’s unparalleled by just salt. On this trip we also went for (a) the crab cake appetizer and (b) the red snapper whole fish pan fried (as long as you don’t mind processing some fish bones), both of which were delish and the latter very worthwhile and filling for the family. Our server, Agustina, was pleasant and her service amazing; we loved her attentiveness and efficiency.

  Exceptional experience - Extremely fresh seafood with a beautiful, romantic ambiance. The seafood quality and service are top notch and our final total was only about $80 for 2 people. We enjoyed everything we ordered - the bread and butter, mixed greens, grilled cauliflower (beurre blance sauce on the side), salmon fillet with grilled leek, and mixed grill plate. Highly recommend dining here during your stay in Amsterdam.
