  The hotel is in a good location The Staff is excellent The rooms are big The restaurant looks neat and fine The windows cannot be opened so no fresh air The curtains cannot be drawn so not light There is no fitness center. just a room with some dumbbells There is no refrigerator / small bar in the room Because of the former prison construction the rooms are cold The hotel overall is not luxurious

  Need a hotel near Alkmaar? The Fallon is a nice alternative to the regular hotel offerings. It's fun to stay in a place that used to be a prison. The place is nice and cozy, the rooms are clean and quite complete. Only issue for me was the bed, for my taste too soft. The pillows however were great, as was the bedding and sheets. The bar is nice and from time to time they have some specials, especially beers. Breakfast was excellent! I would definitely recommend going here.

  Great experience. Staff were brilliant. Friendly and helpful. Rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Located about 10 minutes walk to the town centre

  One of the most interesting places that I've ever stayed. Nicely designed facilities & nice, large rooms. Ate at the restaurant multiple times and enjoyed all meals. Enjoyed the short daily walk to Alkmaar central. Highly recommended.
