  Giving Club NYX 5 stars because, out of all the questionable clubs in the center of Amsterdam, this is the only one actually worth visiting. It’s definitely a hit or miss — some nights are kind of unbearable — but I’ve also had some really great experiences here. The staff has always been friendly and the crowd is usually fun. One thing they could definitely improve: the DJs. Please, no more random people playing the most unvibey, chaotic music.

  Paid 35€ for entrance, after that I immediately got kicked out by bouncers because apparently I did not use the wardrobe. They did not want to listen that I was not aware of the wardrobe policy. I was rejected entry immediately after paying entrance fee. Did not want to converse with me in any way. Pretty homophobic place. Definitely not recommended. Very rude people.

  Been to nyx many times and not the first time I notice arrogance from the bouncers. That asian bouncer pushing 40 at the entrance last night had an amazing time kicking 4 (sober) 20 year olds out because I made the unfortunate mistake of taking an unattended drink on a stool. A warning would have been the normal reaction but in a split second they told me to get out. When calmly agreeing and explaining that we’ll go home but want to know about the refund policy he wasn’t open to discussing and treated us like bacteria in his way. Apparently he was the owner He was so thirsty for authority it was so embarrassing for him. Imagine being 40 and having fun ruining a Saturday night for 20 year old students, how sad.

  Terribly rude, arrogant, insecure and physically abusive female bouncers at the door. One mixed race woman with curly black hair, and the other was a darker skinned lady with coilier hair in a bun. And an Asian woman who controls the door letting people in. I was intoxicated and stood outside of the premises, and one of them reaches across the barriers and pushes me. Then another joins, and they both physically assault me just like that. They thought they could take advantage of me without any consequence. All I did was defend myself against this violence and push back, and so the other bouncer tried to intervene and help the first one assault me since she they did not expect me to stand up to them and stand my ground well. I felt incredibly shocked by the incident and how they felt they could get away with this behaviour in the middle of the street. Mind you, you need two bouncers to do what exactly? What makes you think it is okay for two bouncers to come outside of the premises to assault somebody who was clearly not posing a threat whatsoever? Disgusting behaviour, and a clear show of insecurity by the two female bouncers. They clearly feel insignificant outside in their regular lives, and so try to abuse their position of power. It says a lot about the poor management of the place too- very shady, I wonder how it’s still open with so many complaints too. A police report was filed and one of the female bouncers was given a warning for assault. Happened a few weeks ago, but felt it was important to publicly mention since many of my friends have had issues. My advice- do not go there if you don’t want to be assaulted by two insecure bouncers who are in a mood!

  I had the worst experience of my life at your club. The staff was 0 helpful when we were trying to put our jackets in the locker and at the end, because we were so upset about it they didn’t let us go into the club. All the staff was REALLY rude! We all had the worst experience of our life in terms of night life.
